The Inner Circle is for you if...

You've spent years leading teams and solving problems for other people, and now you want to put that experience into something of your own.

You've got strong ideas and you'd like help picking

the right one before you put more time or money in.

You're in a transition, in your career, your business

or your life, and you want what comes next to fit who you are now.

You're tired of making every big decision by yourself. You want to be in community with others who get it.

How You'll Get There

Get honest about who you've become and what you actually want.

Monthly Leadership Lab trainings help you see how you lead and make decisions, so your business fits your life and vision.

Get clear on your offer, who it's for and what it's worth.

We pick the idea that moves first and give the rest a place to wait, so you can take action with confidence and clarity.

Plan and build around how your life really runs, with structure and a system behind it.

Plus a room full of professional women leaders who'll support you and keep you moving forward towards your goals.

Sound Familiar?

"I know I can do it. But can I do it?"

You've been the one behind the scenes for years, making it work for everybody else. Somewhere along the way you stopped asking what you actually want. That's where we start, because whatever you build has to fit the woman you are now.

"I have so much to offer."

And that's part of what's stuck. The ideas are written down everywhere, a few got started, and none of them are paying you yet. We pick the one that moves first and give the rest a place to wait.

"I'm way behind on everything."

You're busy, people keep asking you to be part of things, and the money still doesn't match your

experience. We build a plan around how your week really runs, with someone in your corner so you don't run out of steam halfway.

If one of these sounds like you, let's talk.

Powerhouse exceeded my expectations, 100 total clients in 12 months of time

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor.

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance.

The Present Entrepreneur: Building a Business That Serves Your Life (Part 2)

November 19, 2024•2 min read

Remember that fog we talked about in Part 1? Now that you've found your clarity, let's talk about something equally important – creating a business that doesn't just make money, but actually fits into your life. (And yes, it's totally possible!)

The Myth of the "Always On" Entrepreneur

Let me share something personal: I used to think being a "successful" entrepreneur meant being available 24/7, just like in my corporate days. My phone would ding at midnight with client messages, and I'd jump to respond.

Or... I'd look at the email and try to tell myself that I'd take care of it later, but it now was renting real estate in my head. Sound familiar?

Here's the truth bomb: That's not success – that's a recipe for burnout.

The real magic happens when you design your business around your life, not the other way around. And I'm not just talking about scheduling – I'm talking about creating a business that reflects who you are and how you want to live.

Your Business, Your Rules

One of my clients came to me exhausted from trying to run her consulting business like her old corporate job – rigid 9-to-5 hours, back-to-back Zoom calls, and that constant feeling of being "on." Together, we redesigned her business to match her natural rhythm:

• She's a morning person? Great – client calls happen before 2 PM

• Needs Wednesdays for deep work? Blocked off

• Wants to pick up kids from school? Non-negotiable family time

The result? Her revenue actually increased by 30% because she was working in her zone of genius at her peak times.

Creating Your Business Boundaries

Here's a simple exercise that changed everything for me (and can do the same for you):

  1. List your non-negotiables (family time, exercise, hobbies)

  2. Identify your peak energy hours

  3. Design your business offerings around these parameters

Remember: You're not just a business owner – you're a whole person with a life, interests, and relationships outside of work.

The Permission Slip You've Been Waiting For

Consider this your official permission slip to:

• Create business hours that work for YOU

• Say no to clients and energy vampires who don't respect your boundaries

• Design services that energize rather than drain you

• Take that midday yoga class without guilt

Action Step: Take 30 minutes today to write down what your ideal work week looks like. Not what you think it should look like – what you actually want it to look like. This becomes your blueprint.

The truth is, running a business shouldn't feel like a prison you've built for yourself. It should feel like freedom, possibility, and joy – even on the challenging days.

Ready to design a business that truly serves your life? Join me for Part 3, where we'll dive into practical systems to make this vision your reality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Inner Circle?

It's my monthly membership for experienced women building their business or next chapter. Inside, you get Leadership Lab trainings built on John Maxwell's leadership work and DISC, a community of women who understand what you're carrying, and EssieLite™, a clarity tool you can use anytime between sessions.

Is this the same as Creative Tech Concierge?

Yes. You may see it called the Creative Tech Concierge™ Inner Circle. It's the same membership.

Who is it for?

Experienced, high-capacity women with leadership backgrounds in corporate, education, healthcare or utilities who are ready to build something of their own and would rather have support than make every decision alone.

Is this business coaching?

It's coaching with a leadership lens. We work on who you are as a leader now, what you're building and the plan to get there, so your business decisions come from a clear place.

What do we work on?

Everything sits under three areas: Identity, Clarity and Strategy. Depending on your season, that could mean figuring out what you actually want next, shaping your offer, working through a big decision, or putting structure around how your business runs.

What values guide the Inner Circle?

The Inner Circle is grounded in the values that shape my work through EBD Collective: faith, integrity, growth, trust, creativity and innovation, and courage.

It's also guided by Wügü, a leadership ethic rooted in stewardship, responsibility, discernment, boundaries and long-view decision making. That means we focus on what's true, what's responsible and what will support real growth over time.

How do I know if it's a good fit?

If you read the "Sound familiar?" section and found yourself nodding, it's worth a clarity call. It's a good fit if you've got real experience behind you and you're ready to use it for yourself. If you're mostly looking for quick motivation, this probably isn't the right room for you.

What's the investment?

The Inner Circle is $79 a month or $597 a year, and your first 30 days are free. Monthly is a good way to get a feel for it, and annual saves you about $350 over the year. Cancel anytime.

How long is the clarity call?

15 minutes. That's enough time for me to hear where you are and tell you honestly whether the Inner Circle fits. If we need more time, we'll sort that out on the call.

How do I get started?

Fill out the short application. Once I've reviewed it, you'll book your clarity call, and if it's a fit you'll start with 30 days free.

Do you work with teams or companies?

Yes. I bring the Leadership Lab into organizations as a cohort for managers and team leads. See Leadership Training for details.

You've built plenty for other people.

Let's build what's yours.

Apply for the Inner Circle, book your 15-minute clarity call, and start your first month free.
