The Power of Proximity: Why the Room You Sit In Determines the Level You Grow Into
Every turning point in my life can be traced back to a room I chose to sit in.
Some rooms stretched me.
Some silenced me.
Some revealed who I was becoming.
Proximity is not networking.
Proximity is environment.
And environment shapes identity.
MIT Sloan research confirms that collaboration, shared thinking, and proximity significantly influence performance and personal growth (MIT Sloan, 2019).
The people around you impact the way you move, the way you think, and the way you lead.
When you sit in rooms where clarity is normal, your thinking elevates.
When you sit in rooms where accountability is healthy, your leadership strengthens.
When you sit in rooms where women lead without pretending, your identity stabilizes.
This is why the Inner Circle exists.
It is not a community for the sake of community.
It is a leadership space for women who are committed to telling the truth about their growth and their capacity.
Choose rooms that stretch your calling, not suffocate it.
Because proximity determines possibility.
